Counterfeit and Pirated Hardware
Horizon Datacom Solutions has a clear policy on counterfeit hardware:
we will not knowingly buy or sell it.
We strive to be a trusted source of network hardware and believe
that the sale and trade in counterfeit goods damages the market.
We make every effort to test and identify counterfeit goods and
have an excellent track record of spotting them as they come through
our lab. We have a comprehensive training and identification program
and educate our entire staff on identifying counterfeit hardware.
We take multiple precautions, including opening and examining all
incoming packages, even when delivered as “new in box.” We
also educate our customers on the dangers of purchasing and using
counterfeit goods.
We reject all questionable products and work with the supplying
vendor to identify the source of counterfeit goods. We will not do
business with suppliers that knowingly deal in counterfeit goods.
We strongly support Cisco and other hardware manufacturers in combating
this problem. Counterfeit goods not only harm the original equipment
manufacturer – they destroy the trust the customer has in used
and refurbished hardware as well.
